Bookings for a program or workshop are now available! These are also held as general classes - you don't have to be a guild member to join the fun! Come learn any of the following techniques - pictures of each are shown below - scroll on down.

Bender Bits Applique

Take those scraps and create something amazing! The more scraps the better. Fat quarters are great too. I can teach you how to create a unique applique piece out of bits of fabric. This is a 3-day class, about 4 hours each, in addition to a personal 45 minute session or video session. I will teach you how to make your own pattern and provide guidance with color and fabric choice and placement. You will spend time preparing materials, then get to work and create! This is not a stressful, nor strict, technique. You'll find yourself sticking to the rules and then going rouge! You have control over your design. Cost is $100

Quilting with Color

Do you struggle with picking out fabrics for your quilting projects? Does color intimidate you? Join a class and learn about choosing colors while creating your own color wheel flower, picture shown below. Bring your leftover strips of every color you can, dip into my own stash, and whalla - create! This is a relaxed, fun-filled class. Cost is $50 for one 8 hour class.

Landscape Quilt

Take that photo of your honeymoon, favorite vacation, or just a scenic photo that you enjoy and turn it into a piece of art. Bring back and hang onto memories. This is a two session class, 6 hours each. Cost is $80.

Bargello Quilt Creations (by Judy Bender)

Bargello quilts are easier to create than you think. Your end result can vary from soft flowing colors that resemble waterfalls or rainbows to optical illusions that stun onlookers with amazement. This class will teach you how to use jelly rolls or your own selection of fabrics to create a piece of art! Due to the nature of my technique, you are in control of your design. My class will familiarize you with fabric choices, technique, and how to develop the personal look of your design. Easy peasy - use a jelly roll or two! Then, in our workshop (or class), you will put that information into action by designing and making your Bargello quilt. Once you learn the basics there are endless design opportunities. This is a 2-day class. Day 1, I will teach you the technique and provide guidance with color choice and placement. You will spend time preparing materials for Day 2. Day 2, it's time to get to work and create! This is not a stressful technique. You don't even have to match seams.  Each day is 5 hours long and both are valued at $50 each. Pay in full before Day 1 and receive a discount - $85 for both days!
